Thats all... "folky"

When I first saw this paper from MME with the little heart like leaves, I fell in love. I think it has such a folky feel to it. I knew it was the perfect paper to make a card for my Mom.

I don't think the picture does the card justice, as the pierced butterfly trails aren't that easy to see, but framed the "Mom" sentiment beautifully. I hope you like it, she said she sure did, and commented how long this card must have taken with all the detail work that was put into it. All I have to say, is she was worth every second, and then some. I just love stamping "handmade" images on the back of my cards, and found the most awesome stamp for this a couple of weeks ago. It says "Handmade, because you're worth it." And it's from Inkadinkadoo. I didn't think to get a photo of it on this card, will get one, and put it on my next post. I just love it!! I purchased it at JoAnn.

Supplies: Patterened, green and yellow papers from My Mind's Eye, card base, and letters are Ocean Tides CS from PaperTrey, the Mom sentiment was cut using my Sizzix dies - Girls are Wierd. The butterflies are a stamp from the Paper Trey sympathy set, stamped in S.U. Rose Red and Only Orange, and cut out. I used my paper piercing tool to create movement from the butterflies, and sewed white stitches around the edges of the layers, with my machine.

Hope you like it as much as mom did, lol. Have great weekend.
